The Petronas Twin Towers
These two massive towers can be found in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and from the years 1998 until 2008, they were the tallest buildings in the entire world. The construction of these buildings began in 1993 and it took seven years before these beauties were complete. Pouring the concrete for this project lasted fifty-four hours in all. There are eighty-eight floors with a glass bridge that connects the two buildings together.

Saint Basil’s Cathedral
This cathedral can be found within Red Square in Moscow and it is officially known as either the Pokrovsky Cathedral or the Cathedral of the Protection of Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat. Ivan the Terrible had this cathedral constructed between 1555 and 1561 and it now contains ten churches. The entire building is shaped like a bonfire’s flame and it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990.

Burj Khalifa
This is also known as the Burj Dubai, since it is in Dubai, and it is currently the largest structure in the world, measuring in at just under eight hundred and thirty meters. The construction began in 2004, and while it was completed in 2009, it didn’t officially open to the public until 2010.

Almost everybody knows about the Colosseum, which can be found in the city of Rome in Italy. This massive building in New York City has been constructed where tragedy took place back on September 11th of 2001. When the twin towers fell, the world was shocked at those who could create such devastation. However, the United States and New York City proved how strong everyone was by creating and building this tower that rises one thousand seven hundred and seventy-six feet into the air. There are one hundred and four floors in the building and while many people work inside, others arrive daily to pay their respects to those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
